Job Overview
Position is responsible for prompt and thorough investigation of routine to moderately complex residential property claims. This is a field-based position involving on-site inspection of insured properties. Regular travel within assigned territory is required.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Insurance Property Claims Adjuster with a demonstrated ability to investigate, adjust and settle property claims for all property lines.

Specific job duties include:
- Reviewing coverage, inspecting damages, determining cause and origin, investigating questionable circumstances and subrogation considerations
 - Setting accurate reserves, produce detailed building evaluations, contents inventories and overseeing the work product of outside vendors
 - Negotiating settlements with insureds, contractors, Public Adjusters and attorneys
 - Providing exemplary customer service; providing comprehensive explanations of all facets of coverage and the claim process to the insured
 - Be available for local catastrophe duty as required
 - Train/mentor less experienced adjusters
 
Required Skills:
- 3+ years property claims adjusting experience handling small to moderate-severity residential and commercial losses
 - College degree or equivalent work experience is required
 - Proficient with Xactimate and Microsoft Word/Excel
 - Strong knowledge of coverage analysis a must
 - Knowledge of the policy language, forms and endorsements specific to each type of claim
 - Possess or attain state adjusting licenses as required
 - Excellent written and verbal communication skills
 - Strong knowledge of building materials and construction techniques a plus
 - Previous contractor experience helpful
 - Associate degree (Preferred)
