Job Overview

We are seeking qualified candidates for a Liability Field / Multi-Line Adjuster position located in our corporate office. Reporting to the Liability Manager, this individual will assist with the investigation, adjusting and settlement of claims across our coverage territory. The Liability Field / Multi-Line Adjuster’s responsibilities will include conducting on-site inspections of losses, photographing loss locations, evaluating and estimating damages, taking recorded or written statements of involved parties, interpreting and analyzing applicable coverage, submitting reports to ICS management and our clients, negotiating and settling claims within assigned authority.

Specific job duties include:

• Conduct physical inspections of loss sites and damaged property, as needed
• Make 24-hour contact with the involved parties to schedule meeting / inspection.
• Obtain and preserve facts surrounding the loss via photographs and written / recorded statements.
• Investigate all aspects of claims, including coverage, liability and damages
• Complete required reports and status updates within required timeframes
• Regularly update progress of claims in FileTrac and XactAnalysis
• Candidate will be expected to assume additional responsibilities as required

Required Skills:

• Minimum of three years’ experience in handling liability and property claims
• Strong analytical skills and understanding of insurance policy coverage
• Knowledge of policy language, forms and endorsements specific to each type of claim
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient with Xactimate and Microsoft Word/Excel
• Organizational skills and multi-tasking abilities a must
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must be licensed to operate a motor vehicle
• Possess or attain state adjusting licenses as required
• Must be able to independently ascend and descend stairs and ladders
• Must be able to work and attend company and industry meetings at times
• Bachelor’s Degree and/or Insurance Related Courses Preferred.
• Previous claim adjusting / carrier-level experience a plus
